SoftSlate Cloud Platform Improvements, 12/22/25

As we approach the end of 2025, it's time to send an update on the latest features and improvements we've made to SoftSlate Cloud Platform!

Multi-Language Support

If you have customers who speak different languages, SCP provides robust built-in support for rendering the entire customer interface in multiple languages. Using the administrator you can define the list of languages you wish to support, and input translations for the customer interface text, including products, categories, content pages, and more. Abandoned Checkouts

If you're concerned about making the most of your ecommerce presence, you'll want to make sure you are following up with customers who only make it part way through the checkout process. These "abandoned checkouts" can be a good source of new orders. Life is distracting - customers can abandon their order for any number of reasons. Sending a follow up email in these cases shows good customer service, and can save the order for you. Address Auto-Complete and Validation

SCP offers built-in address validation features to ensure you're working with accurate, reliable data. Addresses may be validated both in the customer interface and the administrator, including prompting the user with a list of auto-complete suggestions matching what the user starts to input. By default SCP employs Google Places for the validation but for those with an Avalara account, Avalara validation is also supported. Other Recent Improvements

FedEx Shipping Rates: In addition to USPS and UPS, you can now connect with FedEx to display shipping rates and options to customers during checkout. For more please visit: https://softslate.com/content/FedEx_and_UPS_Shipping_Rates

UPS Email Notifications: when creating a UPS label, you can now indicate to UPS that they should send a delivery notification email. You can indicate separately if a notification should be sent to you, the sender, or the customer, or both.
